They should be read in conjunction with the details provided on the site about how the website operates and the services available on the website. You should also read our Privacy Policy. Additional Payment Terms and Conditions apply to image purchases.

No warranties or representations of any kind expressed or implied are given (and if any such warranties and representations arise by operation of law or otherwise they are hereby disclaimed to the fullest extent permitted by law) in connection with this site or its content including the completeness or accuracy of any of its contents (in particular but without limiting the foregoing any listing information).

Refusal, removal and/or editing of content

The Society may not view, edit or pre-screen any content that you or anyone else makes to this website and therefore you cannot assume that the Society is responsible for having made it available on the website. Permission for use and reproduction

Photographs (images) may be downloaded from this website on the understanding that they are used only for private study or educational purposes and not for commercial use or public display, unless this has been previously agreed in writing.

Reproduction fees are payable for the use of images from SWOP in books, magazines and newsletters, museum and gallery display, broadcast and film, and website use. Fees are based on how the images will be used.  If you wish to link to our images for display on a public website, in a newsletter or in a presentation, or to purchase high-resolution versions of the photos, permission must be sought from us at enquires@swop.org.uk . Providing details of the proposed usage, and the SWOP image identifiers of the images concerned

When displayed, all images must reference SWOP and the SWOP image identifier.
